Hale, Douglas Edger (1916 - 2000)

 
Engineer
Born: 2 July 1916  Buninyong, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 21 November 2000  Victoria, Australia.
Douglas Edgar Hale graduated from Ballarat School of Mines and Industries in 1943. He later went on to complete postgraduate studies in electronics, industrial engineering and management. First Hale worked for the SEC (State Electricity Commission) in power generation then moved to the Maryvale Paper Mill. He was eventually appointed chief engineer there. In 1970 Hale started up his own import company to have a break from engineering, but in 1979 returned to the field as a private consultant with his own company. Douglas Hale was an expert in his field and wrote many papers.
