Born: 21 October 1928  Australia.  Died: 24 April 2001  Australia.
Margaret Alyson Farman trained as a nurse and midwife before completing a diploma in nursing education and working as a nurse educator at Epworth Hospital, Melbourne. Other positions held by Farman included president of the nurse education section of the Royal Victorian College of Nursing, examiner for the Victorian Nursing Council and deputy chief nursing officer in the Victorian Nursing Council.
