Born: 20 May 1931  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Patricia Marea Bale's research focused was on Rhabdomyosarcoma in children, and malformations and tumours of the sacrococcygeal region. She was a histopathologist and was appointed Member of the Order of Australia, 1 June 1985, for service to medicine, particularly in the field of histopathology. She retired in 1994 and since then has run the website Pro-OPS for seniors, featuring "Common Ailments of Seniors", and "Birds of Australia for beginners"
