Pugsley, Albert Tonkin (1910 - 2002)

Born: 11 March 1910  Mildura, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 6 November 2002.
Albert Tonkin Pugsley was Director of the Agricultural Research Centre in Wagga Wagga from 1953 until his retirement in 1975. He developed and bred a number of wheat varieties adapted for different climates. Pugsley later accepted an honorary appointment as Senior Associate in Plant Sciences at the University of Melbourne, which he held from 1978-1986.
