Born: 29 May 1885  Hamilton, Victoria.  Died: 26 May 1954  Wahroonga, New South Wales, Australia.
Frederick Richard Burley was the founder of Berlei Ltd. He was responsible for establishing a research department in the company which, together with the University of Sydeny, undertook an anthropometrical survey of Australian women.
