Born: 23 December 1911 Footscray, Victoria, Australia. Died: 23 April 1989. | |
Jack Jones was involved with the Healesville Sanctuary for 27 years. He was also Honorary Naturalist to the Zoological Board of Victoria and a trustee of the Ingram Trust, which provides funds for natural history research. |

Born Footscray, Melbourne, 23 December 1911. Died Melbourne, 23 April 1989. Honorary Master of Applied Science, Footscray Institute of Technology 1987. Commonwealth public servant (printer, union official and pioneer of business and industrial statistics). Wrote a number of articles for The Emu, as well as a series of articles on birds in the Footscray district, published in The Footscray Advertiser under the nom-de-plume 'Gerygone' and later published as a pamphlet. |
