Born: 10 September 1937  Ipswich, Queensland, Australia
Margaret Alison Cameron was foundation University Librarian at Deakin University 1977-96 and Pro Vice-Chancellor 1986-90. She is a keen ornithologist, being an expert at bird identification in the field and a competent bander and counter of birds. She has taken an active role in the Victorian Wader Studies Group and with BATH (Birders Aiding the Handbook).
