Elwin, Syd J. (1906 - 1990)

Syd J. Elwin worked in the optical workshop at the Commonwealth Solar Observatory during World War II. He trained technicians from contracted industrial firms in techniques in optical glass working and the theory of applied optics.

Born ca 1905. Died 1993. Lecturer in manual training, Sydney Teachers' College, before World War II; optical workshop, Commonwealth Solar Laboratory during World War II.
