| Born: 4 April 1913 Perth, Western Australia, Australia. Died: 24 April 1996. |
| Richard Courtney Edquist spent most of his working life at Albright & Wilson, ending his career as a managing director. In partnership with another Albright & Wilson scientist, Mark Maunsell, he developed a process for the burning of phosphorus in the manufacture of phosphoric acid that has since been the basis of the manufacture of thermal phosphoric acid world wide. |
