Born: 8 April 1844 Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Died: 16 December 1918 Monsman, New South Wales. | |
Thomas Roseby was a Congregational minister with an active interest in astronomy and botany. He had an observatory at Marrickville and later at Mosman and often gave educational evenings to church groups and students. |

Born 8 April 1844. Died 16 December 1918. Educated University of Sydney (BA 1869, MA and LLB 1871, LLD 1873). Minister at Petersham 1867-72, Dunedin 1872-85, Ballarat 1885-88 and Marrickville 1888-1911. President, New South Wales branch, British Astronomical Association 1901-02, 1914. The church at Marrickville is now known as the "Roseby Memorial Church". |
