McDougall, William Alexander (1905 - )

Born: 15 January 1905  Ipswich, Queensland, Australia
William Alexander McDougall was an entomologist who collected insects from all over Queensland and in northern New South Wales. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSC), McDougall joined the Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations in Queensland as an Assistant Entomologist (1 January 1928). He spent the first three years stationed at Meringa then in 1931 was transferred to Mackay to investigate Wireworm infections of sugarcane crops.
