Jarvis, Edmund (1869 - 1935)

Born: 18 February 1869  Dartmouth, Devonshire, England.  Died: 17 December 1935.
Edmund Jarvis worked for the Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations in Queensland as Assistant Entomologist and later Entomologist from 1914-1935. He worked on the biology and control of a wide range of insects in sugarcane.

Acting Assistant Entomologist, National Museum, Melbourne 1903; Assistant State Entomologist, Department of Agriculture and Stock, Queensland 1908; Acting State Entomologist 1912-13, Acting Entomologist to Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations, Department of Agriculture and Stock 1914-21, Entomologist to Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations 1921-28, Entomologist in charge of Entomology, Queensland, Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations, comprising the stations at Bundaberg, Mackay and Cairns 1928-35.
