Firth, Raymond William (1901 - 2002)

Anthropologist
Born: 25 March 1901  Auckland, New Zealand.  Died: February 2002.
Raymond William Firth conducted research in the British Solomon Islands 1928-29 and was acting Professor of Anthropology at the University of Sydney 1930-32. He then went to the University of London and was appointed professor in 1944.
