Nicholson, Charles (1808 - 1903)

Physician and Statesman
Born: 23 November 1808  Cockermouth, Cumberland, England.  Died: 8 November 1903  England.
Charles Nicholson, a skilled obstetrician, was also prominent in business. In 1836 he was amoung the founders of the Australian Gaslight Co., acquired much land and by the early 1850s was a trustee of the Australian Museum and Chancellor of the University of Sydney.
