Frank William E. Gibson was Professor and Head of the Biochemistry Department, John Curtin School of Medical Research, Australian National University, Canberra from 1967-76 and from 1980-88. From 1977-80 he was Director and Howard Florey Professor of Medical Research in the John Curtin School. He is a world authority on the biosynthesis of aromatic aminoacids and vitamins.
