Born: 1823  Finsbury, Middlesex, England.  Died: 19 December 1898  Wentworth Falls, New South Wales, Australia.
(Sir) Alfred Roberts was Surgeon to the Sydney Infirmary and Dispensary 1855-1898 and involved in the establishment of the Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, and other medical institutions.

  • Osburn, Lucy (1836 - 1891) - Alfred Roberts was an honorary surgeon at Sydney Hospital when he campaigned for the introduction of Nightingale nursing in New South Wales. He later opposed Lucy Osburn and was a founder of (later Royal) Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney.
