Nicolay, Charles Grenfell (1815 - 1897)

Born: 3 August 1815  Chelsea, England.  Died: 9 May 1897  Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia.
Charles Grenfel Nicolay was the founder of Western Australia's first public museum. In 1881 he began a collection of rocks and minerals which in 1889-90 became the first part of the Western Australian Museum.
