Bright SPARCS wins grant!
The big news in Bright SPARCS land is that we recently received
a $30,000 grant under the Australian Vice Chancellors Committee
Improved Information Infrastructure - Network Information Support
program. This is the first dedicated funding we have received
for Bright SPARCS, and is a recognition of all the hard-work and
thought that has gone into the project. The grant will help us
to maintain a guaranteed level of service and will enable the
addition of a number of new facilities, including a bibliography
of the history of Australian science, and information on scientific
societies and organisations.
But that's just the beginning! Further changes are afoot in the
structure and orientation of Bright SPARCS. We're currently putting
together an Editorial Board to oversee various aspects of the
project, and will shortly be making an open call for contributions
to Bright SPARCS. Yep, that's right - YOUR chance to be a part
of Bright SPARCS. Keep watching for further information!
