Radio talks on science 'giants'
Every Monday morning for the last five and a half years (since November, 1989, with very few days missed), Kim Ford (Honorary Secretary of the Royal Society of N.S.W.) has presented a series of talks on Radio 2SER FM (107.3 MHz) on the history of science, technology and engineering, based on the lives, and works of the pioneering 'giants'. The talks form a segment of the magazine program 'New Horizons', and have varied in length from time to time between 15 and 30 minutes. The talks are mostly 'live' from the studio, but Kim has all past talks (over 250 of them!) recorded on tape.
Since July 3rd there has been an extensive restructuring of 2SER programs, and Kim's talks are now presented at 9.45 every Monday morning, and are of 15 minutes duration.
