GREGORY, Jack Norman

Born Melbourne 29 August 1920; died Sydney 27 January 1980. Education Melbourne University (B.Sc. 1941, M.Sc. 1943, D.Sc. 1955). Junior assistant, C.S.I.R. Division Forest Products, 1938-41. Research officer, C.S.I.R. Lubricants and Bearings Section, 1942-47; C.S.I.R./O. group, Atomic Research Establishment, Harwell, U.K., 1947-53. Head of the Isotope Division, Australian Atomic Energy Commission, 1953-74; Program Manager (Nuclear Science & Applications), 1974-78; Deputy Director (Research), 1978-80.
