Born Melbourne 5 August 1908; died Brisbane 9 March 2000. Education Melbourne University (B.Sc. 1931, M.A. 1932) and University College London (Ph.D. 1936). Assistant Biometrician, C.S.I.R. 1936-41. Home duties 1941-70. Lecturer mathematical statistics, University Queensland 1970-77.
