Lauterer, Josef (Joseph) (1848 - 1911)

Born: 18 November 1848  Freiburg, Germany.  Died: 29 July 1911  Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Josef (Joseph) Lauterer ran a private medical practice in Brisbane from 1885 and was active in the Royal Society of Queensland. As a member of the Society's field naturalists section he studied plant chemistry, the botany of Moreton Bay area and Aboriginal languages. He published many articles in the Society's journal.
