Brent, Richard Peirce (1946 - )

Born: 20 April 1946  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Richard Peirce Brent has been Professor and Head of the Computer Sciences Laboratory at the Mathematical Sciences Institute and Research School of Information Science and Engineering, Australian National University since March 2005. Prior to this he was Professor of Computing Science and Fellow of St Hugh’s College at the University of Oxford, England. Brent is one of Australia’s leading mathematicians and computer scientists and is regularly engaged as key note speaker at international institutions and conferences. He is a Fellow of seven prestigious professional societies and an author of well in excess of 200 publications.
