Born: 2 May 1916 Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Died: 14 February 2002. | |
Solomon (Sol) Rose was mentioned in dispatches while serving as a medical officer in the Australian Imperial Forces. He was invalided home and later declared totally and permanently incapacitated. As he regained health Rose began work with the Repatriation Department He continued to work for the Department for over thirty years, becoming medical superintendent of the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital in 1978. |
