Horadam, Eleanor Mollie (1921 - 2002)

Born: 29 June 1921  Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England.  Died: 5 May 2002  Australia.
Eleanor Mollie (Mollie) Horadam gained a degree in mathematics from the University of Cambridge. During World War II she worked at the Rolls-Royce factory, mathematically modelling the stress in aircraft engines, while undertaking an engineering from the University of London at night. In 1949 she migrated to Australia and took up the position of lecturer of physics at the New England University College (later the University of New England). She continued to work at the University of New England until her retirement in 1983.
