Titchen, Donald Alexander (1924 - 2001)

Three years later Donald Titchen moved to New Zealand to become foundation Professor of Veterinary Biology, then Anatomy and Physiology at Massey University. In 1968 he was appointed reader in veterinary physiology at the University of Melbourne and remained there for 10 years. During this time he completed his Masters of Veterinary Science. Titchen’s final move was back to the University of Sydney, where he was appointed reader and then Professor and Emeritus Professor. In 1982 the University of Cambridge awarded him a Doctorate of Science. Donald Titchen retired in 1989, ending a prestigious career in veterinary science.
