Helen Edith Herrman was appointed Professor and Director of Psychiatry at St Vincent's Hospital and the University of Melbourne. She teaches general psychiatry, social psychiatry, psychiatric epidemiology and mental health promotion. Herrman's areas of research interest are focussed on epidemiological and public health psychiatry.
