Delbourgo, Robert (1940 - )

Born: 11 November 1940  Bombay, India
Robert Delbourgo was Professor of Physics at the University of Tasmania from 1976 to ca 2001. He has worked on particle physics, quantum mechanics, general relativity, quantum field theory, supersymmetric algebra and the dynamics of chaos.

Research Associate, University of Wisconsin 1963-64; Research Scientist, International Centre for Theoretical Physics 1964-65; Lecturer in Physics, Imperial College 1966-72, Reader 1972-76; Professor of Physics, University of Tasmania 1976-ca 2001, Emeritus Professor from ca 2001. Fellow, Australian Institute of Physics 1977; Fellow, Australian Academy of Science 1988; Boas Medal, Australian Institute of Physics 1988; Lyle Medal, Australian Academy of Science 1989. Chairman, Tasmanian Branch, Australian Institute of Physics 1992-93; Chairman, National Committee for Physics 1994-97.
