Edward Norman (Norman) Dancer is Chair and Professor of the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sydney. Prior to this he had been at the University of New England for around twenty years where he worked his way up from Lecturer to Personal Chair of Mathematics. Dancer has also spent much time working and lecturing at overseas Universities and Institutes on short term sabbaticals and has presented his work at many international meetings. His present research interests include nonlinear analysis, especially degree theory, Morse theory and Conley index; applications to nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equations, including singular perturbations; bifurcation theory. |
