Born: 22 May 1893  Chilton, Wisconsin, United States of America.  Died: 4 March 1977  Westport, Connecticut, United States of America.
Lewis George Weeks was chief Geologist of Standard Oil Company (New Jersey), (Esso). Recently retired, he visited Sydney in 1960 to report on the oil permits held by BHP. He advised Ian McLennan (qv), then Chief General Manager, that oil would be likely to be found in Bass Strait.
