| Joseph Mark Gani had a career that spanned four countries: Egypt, England, the USA and Australia. He spent the longest periods at the University of Sheffield (1965-74) and as Chief of the CSIRO Division of Mathematics and Statistics (1974-81). His research areas include probability and statistics and modelling of epidemics. |
