John Barratt Moore is Head of the Department of Information Engineering at the Research School of Information Sciences and Engineering, Institute of Advanced Studies, Australian National University - a position he has held for over ten years. Moore has worked on many aspects of electrical and computer engineering and is presently looking into mobile communications coding and semi-definite programming. John Moore has (co) written over two-hundred publications including six university text books and is a member of many of Australia’s top scientific bodies.
