Smart, K.J.

 
Computer scientist
K. J. Smart was working on the error problem in data transmission in the early 1960s. At that stage transmission of programs and data by telecommunications was not feasible and inter-level communication had to depend on jobs being loaded on to tape, airfreighted for execution elsewhere and the ouptput returned in a similar fashion.
