Glass, Barnet (1849 - 1918)

Born: 1849  Walkivich, Russia.  Died: 18 March 1918  St Kilda, Victoria, Australia.
Barnet Glass began manufacturing rubber garments in Melbourne in 1882. The company, Barnet Glass & Sons Pty Ltd, was bought by the Dunlop Pneumatic Tyre Co. in 1905. By 1908 he had established a public company, Barnet Glass Rubber Co. Ltd, which manufactured tyres. The company merged in 1929 with the Dunlop Rubber Company .
