Foletta, George Gotardo (1892 - 1983)

Born: 30 January 1892 Northcote, Victoria, Australia. Died: 25 April 1983 Ivanhoe, Victoria.

George Gotardo Foletta founded Prestige Ltd, a hosiery manufacturer (1922). He was managing director 1937-48, chairman (from 1943), and governing director from 1948. By 1968 the company was producing a complete range of men's, women's and children's clothing. In that year the firm was taken over by Dunlop Australia Ltd and he retired as chairman and governing director.
