Knip, Pauline de Courcelles (1781 - 1851)

Born: 26 July 1781  Paris, France.  Died: 18 April 1851  Paris, France.
Pauline de Courcelles Knip illustrated many Australian birds. Having never visited Australia, she relied on specimens that were brought back to France after scientific expeditions, such as the Baudin expedition of 1800-1804.
