Banting, Frederick Grant (1891 - 1941)

Born: 14 November 1891  Canada.  Died: 21 February 1941.
(Sir) Frederick Grant Banting, together with Charles Best, isolated insulin from the pancreas in 1921 and showed its use in the treatment of diabetes. This won him a Nobel Prize for physiology or medicine in 1923.
