| Born: 5 January 1945 Gorleston, England. Died: 16 February 1995. | |
| Christopher John Ash moved to Monash University in 1970 as a Senior Teaching Fellow, in order to continue his studies in logic under John Crossley, one of his tutors at Oxford. He remained there for the rest of his life, being promoted to lecturer, senior lecturer and finally reader in 1986. |
