Born: 5 January 1945  Gorleston, England.  Died: 16 February 1995.
Christopher John Ash moved to Monash University in 1970 as a Senior Teaching Fellow, in order to continue his studies in logic under John Crossley, one of his tutors at Oxford. He remained there for the rest of his life, being promoted to lecturer, senior lecturer and finally reader in 1986.

Born Gorleston, England, 5 January 1945. Died Melbourne, 16 February 1995. Educated University of Oxford (BA 1966, MA 1970, D Phil 1972). Senior Teaching Fellow, Mathematics Department, Monash University 1970-72, Lecturer 1973-80, Senior Lecturer 1981-85, Reader 1986-95. Fellow, Australian Academy of Science 1994.
