| Born: 1890 Glebe, New South Wales, Australia. Died: 14 July 1980. |
| Frederick Arnold Matthews worked for Elliott Bros (later Elliotts and Australian Drug Co., then Drug Houses of Australia) 1907-61. During World War II he won high praise from the medical profession and leading hospitals for the quality and quantity of ampoules and soluvacs which he devised and produced for use in blood transfusion equipment. |

Elliott Bros (later Elliotts and Australian Drug Co., then Drug Houses of Australia) 1907-61, working at Balmain, then in O'Connell Street, Sydney and finally in his own laboratory at Rosebery. |
