Marlow, Alfred Dudley Roy (1918 - 1986)

 
Analytical chemist
Born: 12 April 1918  St Peters, South Australia, Australia.  Died: 13 November 1986.
Alfred Dudley R. Marlow spent his entire working life (1939-78) with the staff of the South Australian Department of Chemistry, culminating in his appointment as Director of Chemistry in 1959. He was always concerned with safety in the laboratory, and was also a member of a number of committees involved in the transport, storage and handling of dangerous substances.

Career Highlights
Born St Peters, South Australia, 12 April 1918. Died 13 November 1986. Educated University of Adelaide (BSc 1938). South Australian Department of Chemistry 1929-78 (Director of Chemistry from 1959). Chief Inspector of Explosives, examiner of students for the Health Inspection Certificates. Inaugural Chairman, Analytical Group, South Australian Branch, Royal Australian Chemical Institute 1966.
