Loftus, William Robert (1908 - 1972)

Born: 1908  Belfast, Northern Ireland.  Died: 11 November 1972.
William Robert Loftus migrated to Australia in 1952 and after some years in food companies joined the Victorian Health Laboratory in 1960. He was Assistant Senior Chemist of the Victorian Department of Health at the time of his death.

Laboratory assistant, Belfast City Analyst ca 1925-34, Ministry of Agriculture, Ulster 1934-40, Royal Air Force 1940-45, rising to Flying Officer, Benger's Foods, Associateship of the Royal Institute of Chemistry 1950, migrated to Australia 1952, Chief Chemist, Trufood company, Terang, Victoria, Chief Chemist, Archie's Creek Dairy Company, Assistant Senior Chemist, Victorian Health Laboratory 1960-72.
