| Born: 23 November 1891 Gympie, Queensland, Australia. Died: 29 July 1962. |
| Roy Wooster Latimer worked for the Cordite Factory (later Explosives Factory) at Maribyrnong 1926-56 and was closely involved with the early production of TNT in Australia. He was one of those chemists who formed the hard core of experience in the munitions industry which was so vital to Australia during World War II. |
