Philip Charles H. Hunt came to Australia in 1903 and worked as Assistant Engineer and later Engineer of the Metropolitan Gas Company, Melbourne. He was Chairman of the local Board of the Colonial Gas Association Ltd from 1914 and Managing Director from 1919. He was the most prominent person in the gas industry in Australia for many years. |
