Harry, Frederick Craig (1899 - 1960)

 
Industrial chemist
Born: 1899.  Died: 3 December 1960.
Frederick Craig Harry worked for Beetle-Elliott Pty Ltd, a division of Drug Houses Pty Ltd, from about 1952 to 1960. When the organisation was combined with Monsanto Chemicals (Aust.) Ltd, he was appointed Deputy New South Wales Sales Manager, a position which he held until the time of his death. At Beetle-Elliott, Harry was Works Manager for the research into phenolic powders then Technical Service Chief for one year. He later served as Chief Executive of the sales team for four years before becoming a deputy sales manager. Harry was educated at the Brisbane Technical School, South-West Polytechnic (Chelsea, London) and Bonn University. After World War I he was a member of the occupation forces in Germany and during World War II took up a post as Chemical Engineering Consultant to the Department of Supply.
