Born: 20 June 1876  Kapunda, South Australia, Australia.  Died: 16 January 1947  Malvern, Victoria, Australia.
Traugott Bernhard (Bernard) Zwar was honorary surgeon to in-patients at Melbourne Hospital from 1919, honorary consulting surgeon from 1935 and president of the committee of management 1937-45. He was a leading force behind the move of the hospital to its site in Parkville. He also lectured in surgery at the University of Melbourne from 1924-35.
