Born: 28 April 1883  Balmain, New South Wales, Australia.  Died: 1968  St Leonards, New South Wales, Australia.
(Sir) John Proctor Tivey worked for Australian General Electric Pty Ltd. from 1913, becoming Chief Engineer in 1929 and Director in 1945. He was educated at the University of Sydney (BA, BSc, BE).
