Taubman, Nathaniel James (1864 - 1931)

Born: 5 February 1864  Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.  Died: 21 December 1931  Croydon, New South Wales.
Nathaniel James Taubman established a paint and varnish works at St Peters in 1901 with his brother George. In 1912 this became Taubman's Ltd. Nathaniel sold out to his brother in 1914 and founded the Sterling Varnish Co. in Alexandria with his son Claude Percival.

Career Highlights
Born 5 February 1864. Died 21 December 1931. Apprenticed to a plumber, filed a patent in 1887 for "The Taubman bath heater and hot shower machine", established a paint and varnish works at St Peters in 1901 with his brother George, sold out in 1914 to form the Sterling Varnish Co. in Alexandria with his son Claude Percival.
