Tardent, Henry Alexis (1853 - 1929)

Born: 1 March 1853  Le Sépey, Vaud, Switzerland.  Died: 5 September 1929  Wynnum, Queensland, Australia.
Henry Alexis Tardent established and operated a farm and co-operative winery at Roma in Queensland from 1887-97. Later he was agricultural editor of the "Daily Standard" from 1913-29. His publications included "Science as Applied to Agriculture" (1907) and "Mrs Ellis Rowan and her Contributions to Australian Art and Science" (1927).
