Born: 3 July 1825  Teignmouth, Devon, England.  Died: 3 January 1915  Wadhurst, Sussex, England.
William Strutt painted portraits and events of historical interest, including the Burke and Wills expedition of 1861.

Career Highlights
Came to Australia 1850. Worked as a lithographer and as a painter of portraits and events of historical interest. Settled near New Plymouth, New Zealand 1855-56, Melbourne 1856-62, returned to England 1862.
