Stewart, Ian McColl (1912 - 1994)

 
Chemical engineer
Born: 17 October 1912  Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.  Died: 22 October 1994.
Ian McColl Stewart was foundation professor of chemical engineering at the University of Newcastle from 1965 to 1977. Before that he was chief engineer at Hepburn Ltd (1947-65), where he was consultant to mine management on coal marketing and utilisation, and on mechanical and electrical services to the company's mines, including coal cleaning and power generation.
